The Choro is Bolivia's best-known trek: an old paved trail that starts at La Cumbre, above 4,800 m, and drops over three days to the warm Yungas forests at around 1,300 m. You go from glaciers to ferns and from llamas to butterflies, sleeping at small campsites run by families along the way. A wonderful way to arrive in Coroico.
