Chacaltaya
La Paz Department · Altiplano, lakes and salt flats

Chacaltaya was the world's highest ski resort until its glacier melted. Today a minibus takes you up to 5,300 m and you walk to the summit for an incredible view of the Cordillera Real, Huayna Potosí and, in the distance, Lake Titicaca. The highest point you can easily reach in Bolivia.
